Technical Consultants can sometimes be called SAP ABAP Programmers, Oracle PL/SQL Developers, MS AX Developers, and more.

Technical Consultants need a good foundational background in programming or coding. They usually need knowledge or experience with ABAP, program testing software, database management, SAP/Oracle systems, and systems administration. Technical Consultants work with different members of an organization so they will need good communication or interpersonal skills.

Functional Consultants

Functional Consultants can sometimes be called SAP Consultants or Oracle Consultants. Their job is to plan, design, and oversee the construction of a software system. They are subject matter experts who generally have Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) implementation expertise. They usually work closely with Business Analysts, Technical Consultants, and Software Engineers.

IT Support Specialists are often found in IT companies but they are also becoming more popular in the BPO setting. Their job is to oversee computer systems for businesses and offer support to the system’s users. They may perform internal assistance or assist external clients or customers, however, the specifics of the job depend highly on the requirements of the organization.

It is good for QA specialists to be adept in the development environment, database management, and component-specific software and languages.
