Tableau Developer & Administrator
Job Description
RingCentral is looking for a Sr. Tableau Developer to join our dynamic Big Data team to build and extend our Data stack.
Reporting to the Analytics & Reporting Manager, the Tableau Developer will be working with Tableau based frameworks to support enterprise system development requirements. The Tableau Developer position will directly support the reporting aspects of design, analysis, development, deployment, administration integration and customization of several enterprise Business Intelligence Reporting
Function & Responsibilities
Partner with instructional and operational teams to develop reports and address data needs to provide reporting solutions
Work with more senior members of project teams to synthesize and translate instructional and business data needs into creative visualizations and tools
Assist in the development, maintenance and management of advanced reporting, analytics, dashboards and other BI solutions primarily using Tableau
Help refine best practices used in implementations using Tableau server
Develop and document processes used in data flow automation and product management
Perform and document data analysis, data validation, data mapping/design, by accessing multiple sources, specifically data residing in source systems.
Qualification
Qualifications
BA/BS required with strong statistical or quantitative background
Proficient knowledge of Tableau to create business intelligence reports and visualizations (at least 3years)
Ability to learn tableau techniques quickly under the guidance of a Senior Tableau Developer
Proficiency developing and updating technical documentation and training materials for business stakeholders to serve as reference
At least 3 years of working experience with Tableau desktop and Tableau software.
Experience in end to end implementation of Business Intelligence projects, especially KPIs, reports and dashboards.
With knowledge of formal architecture and design.
With good SQL experience.

Detail-Oriented – Tableau developers need to have strong attention to detail in order to spot inaccuracies in coding or data. Additionally, they can remain focused when working on multiple parts of an application or system at the same time
Teamwork – Tableau developers work as part of a large team and work towards shared business and department goals, so the ability to work professionally with others is vital to being successful in this job
Preferred Knowledge/Experience
Ability to balance multiple tasks simultaneously and transition between projects
Ability to work both independently and effectively in teams
