Technical Business Analyst
Job Description
Elicit requirements and define acceptance criteria for data pipelines, transformations, and reporting (Tableau/SSRS). Author epics/stories aligned to T‑shirt sizing (S/M/L/XL) and service bounds; maintain traceability to business value. Define data quality rules and validation checks; ensure SLIs/SLOs are measurable and observable (dashboards, alerts, runbooks). Collaborate with Tech Lead on source→target mapping, CDC patterns, and schema‑drift handling; with Scrum Master on sprint predictability. Prepare UAT plans and external QA handoff artifacts (test data, lineage, acceptance evidence). Coordinate US‑hours touchpoints and stakeholder reviews; capture decisions and maintain living documentation.
Qualification
4–6+ years as Data/EDW Business Analyst or Technical BA in ETL/ELT environments; proficiency with SQL and data modeling. Experience writing acceptance criteria and validation scenarios tied to SLIs/SLOs. Familiarity with Azure DevOps, GitHub, Tableau/SSRS; Collibra is a plus. Tools & Stack (Pod) Data: SQL Server, SSIS, DBT, Python, Fivetran BI/Reporting: Tableau, SSRS DevOps/Workflow: Azure DevOps (ADO), GitHub (migration/hardening) Governance: Collibra (lineage/catalog), Apigee/OutSystems (where applicable)
