Senior Network Engineer
Job Description
1. Establishes network by evaluating network performance issues including availability, utilization, throughput and latency.
2. Planning and executing the selection, installation, configuration, and testing of equipment and defining network policies and procedure, thus establishing connections and firewalls.
3. Maintains network performance by performing network monitoring and analysis, and performance tuning; troubleshooting network problems; escalating problems to vendor.
4. Secures network by developing network access, monitoring, control, and evaluation; maintaining documentation
5. Responsible for the operation, maintenance and control of the Data Center and telephone system. This includes all facets of software, hardware, support, and changes related to the system. The support includes IP connections, messaging and voice recording systems.
6. Liaise with Telecom vendors to troubleshoot and resolve problems with internet and point-topoint links.
7. To maintain records as required by internal quality, Internal/External Auditors and Information Security policies
8. Create and maintain up-to-date records, configurations, technical design documentations (HLD, LLD, Network Diagrams and implementation/test plan) and logs for all the devices.
9. Follow Security and Change Management policies.
10. Guide and mentor junior team members in the same.
11. Immediately report any incident of non-compliance to established policies, process and procedures or observed weaknesses in the ISMS.
12. Actively participate in any information security program of the organization and unconditionally cooperate in any information security incident investigation.
13. Conduct failover test for all critical devices as per the process defined in BCP policy
14. Supports IT operations for 365/24/7 on-call and on-site activities.
15. Communicate effectively to local and international stakeholders for all Network and IT operations related concerns and act as Subject matter expert (SME)

-5–10 years of experience in Network Engineering / IT Operations / Data Center
-Hands-on experience with enterprise routers, switches, and firewalls
-Experience with Cisco / Fortinet / HP or equivalent network devices
-Strong knowledge of routing & switching (BGP, OSPF, MPLS, EIGRP, HSRP)
-Experience with WAN connectivity (DIA, MPLS, SD-WAN)
-Solid background in network security (Firewalls, VPN, IDS/IPS)
-Experience supporting data center operations and network troubleshooting
-Familiar with network documentation, backups, logs, and change management
-Willing to work onsite, shift-based, and 24/7 on-call support
-Exposure to ISO 27001 / SOC-2 is a plus
