Senior Creative Director

Job Description

The role will be responsible for:  
  • Re-evaluating and strengthening our conceptual and creative design offerings
  • Defining clear, sellable design services and engagement models
  • Leading multi-disciplinary design teams across India and the Philippines
  • Partnering closely with Sales, Account Management, and Operations to drive revenue, margin, and client satisfaction 
     
  • Key Responsibilities 
     Design Strategy & Creative Leadership 
  • Own and evolve the end-to-end design strategy, ensuring services align with market demand, client expectations, and competitive benchmarks.
  • Act as a hands-on design expert and thought leader, capable of guiding conceptual design, visual storytelling, branding, UX/UI, and high-impact creative output. 
  • Define creative standards, frameworks, and governance to ensure quality, consistency, and differentiation at scale.  
  •  Commercial & Client Leadership (Must Have) 
     
  • Operate with a strong agency mindset, leading design services in a client-facing, revenue-driven environment.
  • Partner with Sales and Account teams to: Shape creative solutions and proposals
  • Participate in client pitches, solutioning, and presentations
  • Define scopes, pricing logic, and engagement models
  • Utilization and capacity planning
  • Cost-to-serve and margin awareness
  • Contribution to account growth and revenue expansion
  •  
  • Own accountability for commercial performance, including:
  • Build trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders and act as a strategic design advisor. 

  •  Service & Operating Model Development 
     
  • Reassess existing design and creative offerings (presentation graphics, conceptual design, UX research, MarTech enablement, etc.) and refine them into clear, market-ready services. 
  • Define and institutionalize: Design workflows (brief → estimate → deliver → measure) 
  • Quality assurance and review mechanisms 
  • SLAs, turnaround models, and escalation paths
  • Ensure scalability and repeatability of design delivery in an outsourced services model

     
  • People & Multi-Geography Leadership  
  • Lead and develop design teams across India and the Philippines, including managers, leads, and senior designers. 
  • Build leadership depth, succession planning, and high-performance culture across locations. 
  • Drive consistent ways of working across geographies while remaining sensitive to local operating nuances. 

     
  • Performance Management & Continuous Improvement 
     
  • Define and track relevant KPIs for design services, including (but not limited to):
  • Delivery performance and quality
  • Rework reduction
  • Client satisfaction (CSAT/NPS)
  • Utilization and productivity
  • Drive continuous improvement through process optimization, tooling, and capability enhancement. 
  •   
     

    Qualification

    Must Have 
     
  • 12+ years of overall experience in design leadership roles.
  • Prior experience working in a design agency or creative agency (strongly required).
  • Demonstrated success in client-facing, outsourced, or professional services environments.
  • Proven experience leading multi-disciplinary design teams at scale.
  • Strong exposure to commercial models, including pricing, utilization, margin awareness, and account growth.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills, suitable for global clients.
  • Ability to balance creative depth with operational rigor.
  •  Good to Have 
     
  • Experience across multiple creative service lines (presentation design, branding, digital, UX, MarTech).
  • Exposure to global clients across regions (AMER, EMEA, APAC).
  • Experience contributing to or shaping GTM strategies for creative services.
  • Familiarity with design and workflow tools used in scaled delivery environments.
  •  What This Role Is Not 
     
  • Not a pure internal design or shared-services role.
  • Not a hands-off creative director position.
  • Not an individual contributor role.
  • This role is for a leader who can run design as a business, not just as a function.
