About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Business Analyst to play a pivotal role in understanding and addressing the business needs of our Small and Medium Business (SMB) clients. This role focuses on requirement elicitation, process improvement, and stakeholder collaboration to drive successful project outcomes. As a Senior Business Analyst, you will leverage your expertise to analyze, document, and refine business processes and solutions. Your insights will bridge the gap between stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities
1. Requirements Elicitation & Analysis:
 o Lead discovery workshops, interviews, and focus groups to gather and validate detailed business requirements.
 o Translate high-level business needs into well-defined functional and non-functional requirements.   2. Stakeholder Engagement:
 o Build strong relationships with SMB clients to understand their unique challenges, goals, and opportunities.
 o Serve as a trusted advisor, guiding stakeholders through complex decision-making processes.   3. Process Optimization:
 o Evaluate current business processes and identify opportunities for automation, efficiency, and cost reduction.
 o Design and document optimized workflows and solutions tailored to SMBs.   4. Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams:
 o Work closely with product managers, developers, and QA teams to ensure requirements are understood and implemented effectively.
 o Act as a liaison to ensure clear communication between business and technical teams.   5. Documentation & Communication:
 o Create comprehensive business requirement documents (BRDs), user stories, use cases, and process diagrams.
 o Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders and executive leadership.   6. Solution Design & Validation:
 o Participate in the design of innovative solutions to meet SMB-specific needs.
 o Validate solutions through testing, ensuring alignment with business requirements.   7. Market Trends & Best Practices:
 o Stay updated on SMB market trends, tools, and methodologies.
 o Apply best practices to deliver scalable and effective solutions.

Qualification

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field. A master’s degree is a plus.

• Experience: 7+ years of business analysis experience, with at least 3 years working with SMB clients.

• Technical Skills:

 o Proficiency in business analysis tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Visio).

 o Familiarity with CRM, ERP, and other SMB-focused technologies.

 

• Soft Skills:

 o Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

 o Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

 o Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver under tight deadlines.



Preferred Attributes

• Experience with agile methodologies and frameworks.

• Certification in business analysis (e.g., CBAP, PMI-PBA).

• Familiarity with the challenges SMBs face in scaling operations.

• Customer onboarding (hand holding) experience with SME customers

• Great interpersonal skills

• Weekly reporting to management

• Self-starter who takes initiative and works well in a team

• Initiative to work in an exciting office
