Data Center Pre-Sales Architect
Job Description
The Data Center Pre-Sales & Fulfilment Lead is responsible for designing, pricing and implementing solutions that meet the technical, operational and commercial needs of all data center clients. This role involves supporting sales and sales partners/channels in addressing DC customer’s infrastructure requirements submitted via the sales channels (e.g., rack space, power, cooling, network, cabling, cross-connect, etc.). Provided solutions must be cost effectively priced and fulfilled. The position aims to deliver high-quality data center services that align with customer requirements, maximize efficiency and enhance service offerings through proactive account management and collaboration. Pre-Sales & Technical Solution DesignDevelop and validate technical solutions within the existing as-built data center infrastructure (rack space, power, cooling, structured cabling, cross-connects).Review and interpret MEP layouts, load sheets, and riser diagrams; validate power and cooling capacities to match customer requirements.If customer needs exceed current facility capabilities (e.g., liquid cooling or high-density compute), coordinate with the Design & Construction team for escalation, validation, and integration of potential design adaptations.Ensure all proposed solutions are costed, compliant, and feasible for execution by Site Operations and Engineering Services. Project Fulfilment & ExecutionServe as the primary PIC for coordinating internal towers (Site Ops, Engineering, Provisioning, PMO) during customer build-outs and fit-outs.Manage end-to-end delivery—from BOM finalization and capacity allocation to RFS documentation and turnover.Supervise and troubleshoot technical delivery on-site where required, including walkthroughs and validation of MEP execution. Capacity Planning & Engineering AlignmentMaintain a live view of infrastructure capacity (power, cooling, space) for each site.Support forward planning for space and utility allocation across customers and future phases.Collaborate with Site Operations and Engineering Services for accurate provisioning and upgrades. Customer & Stakeholder CoordinationPartner with Sales and Product teams during pre-sales to scope and size requirements.Work with CSM and Site Ops to ensure seamless customer handover post-RFS.Represent the customer during internal alignment discussions, technical meetings, and operational readiness reviews. Risk, Incident & Documentation ManagementParticipate in the incident manager rotation for customer-impacting technical issues during provisioning and early operations.Own and maintain project trackers, health dashboards, BOM archives, and capacity planning files, ensuring all documentation is ready for audit and internal reporting.
Qualification
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical Engineering is requiredCertifications: Licensed Engineer (Philippines), CDCP/CDCS, or Uptime Accredited Tier Designer/Operator.Experience: 3–5 years in MEP infrastructure within data centers, with hands-on experience in either commissioning, design review, or technical delivery of fit-out projects.Technical Tools: Proficient in reading AutoCAD, Revit MEP, or BIM models; able to interpret SLAs and load sheets; familiar with power distribution (UPS, STS, PDU), cooling (DX/CHW), and structured cabling.Preferred certifications include Data Center Professional/Practitioner certifications, such as: Certified Data Center Professional (CDCP), Certified Data Center Specialist (CDCS), Uptime Institute certifications or other relevant data center or infrastructure certificationsData Center Standards and Compliance: Expertise in industry standards (e.g., ANSI/TIA-942, Uptime, ISO QMS) to ensure solutions meet compliance and operational quality.Infrastructure Design and Capacity Management: Proficiency in designing and managing critical systems (power, cooling, security) for efficient capacity planning.IT Equipment and Network Deployment: Familiarity with deploying servers, storage, and networking, including structured cabling and cross-connect services.Financial Acumen for Project Budgeting and Costing: Skilled in budget planning, cost estimation, and financial risk management to maintain cost-effective projects.Vendor and Supplier Management: Strong negotiation and relationship skills with vendors to meet equipment and service needs efficiently.Business and Strategic Acumen: Ability to align technical solutions with business goals, maximizing customer value and driving growth. Capable of formulating business cases as requested by the finance team
