REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Minimum 3-5 years experience in a similar role
  • Experience and strong understanding of the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies
  • Strong experience in development with Ruby on Rails, Javascript, Python,Go-lang shell (bash) scripting
  • Experience in using AWS – Amazon Web Services Cloud solutions
  • Previous exposure to and experience with Continuous Integration tools such as Jenkins and Buildkite
  • Ability to work in a highly methodical and process-driven manner
  • Ability to effectively communicate with internal and customer stakeholders across a diverse range of technical expertise and seniority
  • Highly developed written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work to high levels of accountability and ownership of tasks and workload
  • Demonstrated willingness to learn and adapt as Assembly continues to grow within the marketplace

Job Description

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Design and build systems and deploy systems to improve reliability, performance and organizational efficiency.
  • Works towards a Fully automated deployment to production with ability to deploy multiple times a day
  • Work with Platform Reliability Engineering Manager to maintain compliance with all regulatory requirements and service level agreements in place across Assembly
  • Be responsible for enabling the deployment and runtime of internal and open source services at scale
  • Build and support product, process and delivery infrastructure
  • Provide technical support for continuous integration, infrastructure automation and tooling
  • Work directly with other developers to ensure that continuous integration, infrastructure as code and test driven development are proactively managed and implemented as part of best practice
  • Improve service reliability through root cause analysis, blameless postmortems and using code to prevent or respond to problem recurrence
  • Apply and champion best practice concepts & knowledge of the latest trends in the DevOps practise
  • Engage with other delivery teams to potentially help to implement DevOps practices
  • Provide 24/7 on call support on a rostered basis
  • Provide escalated 2nd level technical support for complex technical issues which may include leading incident management
  • cases and providing management status updates.
  • Manages escalated support cases and leads appropriate internal technical resources and/or 3rd party vendors to resolution.
  • Participate in technical root cause analysis for Production Incidents
