One of our clients, Office Solutions IT is looking for a Maintenance Engineer who will be responsible for delivering remote systems maintenance for client IT environments. Always works to Office Solutions IT standards and delivers service at a high level, efficiently and in a professional manner. Works both reactively, on alerts generated by automated systems monitoring and also proactively, performing maintenance tasks.
The Maintenance Engineer is responsible for handling all maintenance tasks and can work on alerts which have been assigned by their manager. This includes remote maintenance for computers, servers, networking equipment, storage equipment, Windows and other software updates, etc and may include testing of hardware and services such as backups and antivirus. The Maintenance Engineer should carefully follow the defined processes for completing maintenance tasks. The Senior Support Engineer is their escalation point.
The Maintenance Engineer is also responsible for creating and updating documentation relating to client IT equipment and software, as well as assessing current configuration. This involves auditing systems to obtain and document current configuration details or update existing documentation with current details. It is also required to audit items such as security permissions, review backup configuration, etc.
The Maintenance Engineer always works to a high standard, ensuring that maintenance is performed efficiently and properly and with a minimal impact to the client.
