Junior End User Services Engineer (2729)

We are recruiting for a Junior End User Services Engineer who will be part of our EUS Asia Pacific team. The role supports the Manila and Asia Pacific sites by providing local hands on and remote support for clients end point within the Cambridge University Press & Assessment office.

What will you do in this role?
Working under the supervision of the EUS Manager – Asia Pac in Manila, you will:
Troubleshoot Windows, MacOS and mobile device platforms.
Resolve technical, operational and equipment problems with user technology.
Participate in all incident and problem management activities related to end user computing.
What makes you the ideal candidate for this position?
You will be ideal for this part if you have around 1-2 years of experience in End user computing or desktop support. You will make a strong candidate if you have strong customer service skills and commitment to providing quality service.
In addition, experience, knowledge or expertise in the following would give you an advantage:
Experience of installing, configuring, and troubleshooting Windows and Mac operating systems, as well as iOS and Android mobile operating systems
Understanding of concepts and willingness to learn of SCCM Builds for Windows, Microsoft Active Directory: users and computers, site and services, OUs, familiarity with GPO and other AD-specific concepts
Experience in Microsoft Systems Center Configuration Manager and Office 365 administration is desirable
Understanding and experience in working with MacOS Management platforms
Understanding of concepts and willingness to learn of standard engineering and support processes such as ITIL, life cycle management, and ITSM
Problem solving and decision making.
