CONTRACT MANAGER

Job Description

1)      Forms and organizes the Project Team and identifies the specific functions of each member or sub-team;

2)      Manages the construction of the project taking into account integration across all trades and areas;

3)      Consolidates, reviews, analyzes and monitors methodology, work plan, project budget and contract management;

4)      Sets periodic overall targets or milestones for construction activities;

5)      Plans and manages project resources.

6)      Ensures project meets requirements and objectives both in accordance with the contractual obligations and internal goals;

7)      Develops overall construction implementation plan and prepares the project schedule.

8)      Monitors and manages the project schedule;

9)      Monitors project costs against project budget;

10)   Identifies risks affecting all aspects of the project and provides risk mitigation recommendations.

11)   Identifies, analyzes and manages operational issues;

12)   Religiously observes the construction of the project whilst ensuring the proper implementation of the important aspects of the project such as Safety, Quality, Schedule and Budget;

10.) Represents the company in coordination meetings with owners, designers/consultants, and other parties involved with the project;

11.)  Holds meetings with the project team, subordinates, sub-contractors, suppliers and other parties involved in the construction activities;

12.) Ensures the strict implementation of the QA/QC Plan through coordination with the QA/QC Manager or QA/QC Head;

13.) Ensures the strict implementation of the EHS Plan through coordination with the Safety Manager or Safety Head;

14.) Reports to the Project Manager or Project Director regarding progress on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.  Prepares required construction reports as per the agreed frequency and format;

10.) Provides technical advice to site team regarding job related inquiries and questions;

11.) Assists management in assessing the training needs and provide training accordingly;

12.) Assists in implementation of training programs for staff and personnel;

13.) Ensures that the communication between DMCI and the owner, all the stakeholders and relevant parties are maintained;

14.) Dissemination and Communication of necessary data from all reports and data issued by various project parties;

15.) Ensures that comprehensive records and project documents are properly kept and tagged for future use/reference;

16.) Seeks to update his job knowledge and that of staff under his/her supervision;

17.) Encourages training and the use of support tools that enhance the knowledge, performance and the development of the Project Team;

18.) Supports the process of Corporate Social Responsibility;

19.) Participates in Professional Organizations aligned with his role;

20.) Actively supports TQM and ISO 9001 – 2015 including Operational Health and Safety as well as Environmental Standards with particular reference to the development of DMCI Standards, Processes and procedures and applicable to the Project Team;

21.) Drives the training process of all Project Team Staff and assesses levels achieved. Collaborates with relevant parties as needed to achieve agreed targets;

22.) Ensures the effective use of information gathering in support of data mining and the like, needed to elevate the quality of decision making processes applicable to the project implementation;

23.) Records information as required;

24.) Collaborates with the BU head and HR to ensure an effective succession plan is implemented;

25.) Schedules regular meetings between relevant parties to ensure effective communication is maintained and ensures that accurate records are kept;

26.) Manages/supervises the Project Team Staff; Acts as the resource person to DMCI staff on Design Development related issues;

27.) Assists in strengthening the organization and competencies of the Project Team;

28.) Assists management in assessing the training needs and provide training accordingly;

29.) Performs other tasks that may be assigned from time to time.

 

Plan, direct, and coordinate activities concerned with all construction works within the scope of the contract and in accordance with the approved plans/specifications, schedule and budget.

Min. Work Experience

10 years

Qualification Summary

With at least 10 years working experience in construction

(5 years of which in a supervisory position).

Must have an extensive knowledge and experience in construction operations, engineering, estimating in buildings, plants, utilities and infrastructure projects.

Should possess strong leadership skills and should be able to deal effectively with employees from all levels of organization
