We are recruiting for a Finance Business Analyst who will be part of our UK Education Finance Team. This team is responsible for supporting the Education Publishing business, measuring and analysing performance and offering financial insight and recommendations, enabling the business to achieve their overall strategy.

This role is to act as a trusted adviser to the Commercial Finance Manager and the senior management teams within Education and Publishing to maintain effective and influential working relationships with them built on respect for the financial insight & analysis provided.

What will you do in this role?
To perform a monthly review of the Global Publishing performance and management accounts, discussing variances with the business before producing a monthly management pack to provide to the senior stakeholders.
Support the budget process for Publishing Branches, from development of the timetable, collation of data from the business in accordance with the timetable, review the budgets with line manager and the business and then delivery to the central finance teams in the required formats
Ensure that overheads budgets and actuals are being appropriately allocated to the correct cost centres with the R2R team, such that appropriate reviews can be conducted with the senior managers in the business to ensure they are appropriately managing their budgets.
Working with the senior management teams to ensure they get timely and accurate reporting. Where required provide and develop further analysis on this to enable well informed decision making.
Helping to improve Education profitability by reviewing existing financial data, working with the business to develop and model new initiatives and subsequently monitor the impact of these initiatives on our profitability.
Work with the Commercial Finance Manager and Senior Management Teams to develop and implement additional monthly management reports.
