Senior Manual QA Engineer

Job Description

This position will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our software applications by conducting thorough manual testing procedures. Responsibilities will include creating test cases, executing test plans, identifying and documenting defects, and collaborating with the development team to resolve issues. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is highly organized, and with a passion for quality assurance and a keen eye for detail. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: 
  • Develop and execute comprehensive manual test plans and test cases based on functional and technical specifications. 
  • Conduct various types of testing, including functional, regression, integration, and usability testing, to identify software defects and ensure optimal performance. 
  • Document and track defects, issues, and enhancements using bug tracking systems, clearly communicating the fi ndings to the development team. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and stakeholders, to understand project requirements and provide feedback on potential areas of improvement. 
  • Analyze test results and provide detailed reports on the test fi ndings, including recommendations for corrective actions. 
  • Participate in product release activities, ensuring that the software meets quality standards before deployment. 
  • Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging trends in software quality assurance and testing methodologies. 
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the testing process by suggesting innovative ideas and implementing efficient testing strategies. 
  • Assist in creating and maintaining test documentation, such as test plans, test scripts, and test data sets.

    • Qualification

  •  Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related fi eld, or equivalent work experience.
  • At least 6 years proven experience as a Manual QA Tester or a similar role, preferably in a software development environment. 
  • Ecommerce experience is a plus
  • Technical Skills: 
  • Solid understanding of various software testing techniques, such as black-box testing, white-box testing, integration testing, regression testing, and usability testing. 
  • Proficiency in creating comprehensive test cases that cover various test scenarios and edge cases based on functional and technical specifications. 
  • Experience in executing test plans and test cases, identifying and documenting defects, and utilizing bug tracking systems to track and manage issues throughout the testing process. 
  • Familiarity with manual testing tools, such as test management tools (e.g., TestRail, Zephyr) and defect tracking systems (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla), to support effi cient test execution and defect management. 
  • Solid understanding of the software development life cycle and diff erent development methodologies, such as agile, waterfall, or hybrid approaches. 
  • Ability to analyze issues, debug problems, and troubleshoot defects to identify the root cause and provide clear and accurate information to the development team. 
  • Proficiency in creating and maintaining test documentation, including test plans, test scripts, test data sets, and test reports, to ensure comprehensive and well-documented testing processes.
