Key Responsibilities
• Design technical trainings for Data Platform and Engineering roles
• Develop data engineering/analytics competency assessments
• Develop role-based assessments aligned to competency frameworks
• Conduct pre/post skill gap assessments to track 40% reduction target
• Create hands-on scenarios that simulate real production incidents
• Co-design and deliver Academy internship and apprenticeship technical curriculum as it expands
beyond SRE
• Respond to skill gap analysis findings with data-specific interventions
• Partner with Labs Engineer to define training environment requirements
• Partner with Community and Enablement Lead to manage processes and continuous
improvement of programs
Key Deliverables
• Data Platform core curriculum (data reliability, pipeline development, data quality, monitoring,
etc.) targeted towards reducing skill gap
• Cross-training materials for data-aware SRE practices
• Data-specific role assessments
• Quarterly skill gap reports for Data Platform and Engineering teams

• Required: 5+ years as Data Engineer or SRE, training/teaching experience, strong incident
response background
o Preferred: Curriculum design, adult learning principles, experience with early-career
development or mentorship programs
• Key traits:
o Can translate complex technical concepts for different skill levels (intern → senior)
o Comfortable with both curriculum design and program coordination
o Strong collaborator who can share ownership organically
o Enjoys developing early-career talent as much as upskilling senior engineers
