OLFU was established in 1967 and it has become one of the most respected and admired education institutions in the country today particularl in the field of paramedical programs such as Medicine, Dentistry, Nursing, Medical Laboratory Science, Physical and Respiratory Therapy, Pharmacy among others and non-paramedical programs like Hotel and Restaurant Management, Travel Management, Computer Studies, Maritime Education, Criminology, Business and Accountancy, Education, to mention a few.  Currently, OLFU also offers different programs under its Graduate School and Basic Education Department.
